Winter Break Bonanza!

Okay so it's not really a 'bonanza' so to say, but gosh am I ready to relax a bit! Today I almost threw a brick at Maya. I lost my feet during rendering and then I fixed my feet and the sky went wonky.... Oi!

Here is my final project for 3DF:

Happy Holidays all!

Animating stuff!

My first week of 3D Foundations has been rough, what with the holiday and whatnot. We just learned  basics of Maya and how to create a prop, I chose a hydrant, it's not great. Haha. Week two I modeled and rigged a character, puppet style.

Week three finished out with blocking/keying my animation, of which I will try and include a low-res video here.

This week is busier yet, rendering/lighting/colors/etc. Wow. I need to not have a full time job...

*The snowman was not created by me, I just put his pieces back together!

3D Foundations!

So it has been one hell of a busy month but I thought I would update with some things I have done from my drawing class and before I begin (and become too busy again) my next class, 3D Foundations.

Fundamentally Drawing.

Busy busy busy.

I am moving, have been for about 3 weeks now. I have started my first drawing class at Full Sail. I am still working full time; at least I'm not really training anymore!

Oh yeah, there was Halloween. My costume took forever to make. And I have jury duty next week.

Life, please, slow down a smidge?

Here goes!

I began school at Full Sail University 3 months ago for my Computer Animation degree online. I get my Launch Box this week since I do not have to do the English course. (Having transferred my English credit from my community college.)

I decided to begin a blog for my progression through the program.

A little back story, I graduated high school in 2007. I went to community college on and off since then. I was later accepted into my dream school, Digipen Institute of Technology. I stopped attending community college as only one of my credits was transferring anyway. As it happens, college is expensive and I ended up not being able to go.

This year I decided to pursue my second choice in colleges, Full Sail. It has really been a great 3 months so far.

I began by thinking I don't have enough time to get everything in order. I was worried about the same circumstances with money. Thankfully Full Sail gives you a chance to do a one month trial period. During this one month I got to see the potential of the program and I looked forward to continuing. My grades were great during this period and they offered me scholarship money to move forward in the program!

Thus far I have completed Digital Literacy, Psychology of Play, and this week I will complete Overview of the Media Design and Technology Industries. I will get my Launch Box and begin Art History! I really can't wait to start doing animations!

Later this week I will post the video I made for this last week in class no. 3!
